Terms of Use (End User License Agreement)

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AboutFace mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by SocialQ ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the AboutFace app on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor reverse-engineer the app, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you are using AboutFace on behalf of a minor child, you must be that child's parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

AboutFace offers paid auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscription details — title, length, and price — are displayed in the in-app purchase flow before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the same price and duration unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID Account Settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS).
• No refund is provided for the unused portion of any current subscription period when you cancel, except where required by law.
• Any unused portion of a free trial, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a paid subscription.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have rights to share.
• Upload images of other people without their (or their guardian's) consent.
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person.
• Attempt to circumvent technical or security measures of the Service.
• Use automated systems to access the Service except where explicitly permitted.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of photos, video, and other content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and process that content solely to provide the Service to you and the people you share it with. You may delete your content at any time from within the app, which removes it from our active systems within a reasonable period.

7. Privacy

Our handling of your information — including camera and face data — is described in our Privacy Policy. That policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued provision of the Service is no longer commercially reasonable.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. AboutFace is an educational and entertainment tool; it is not a clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic product, and it should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or educational advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Apple-Specific Terms

These Terms are between you and SocialQ, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
